One of my all time favorite actors. Impeccable in everything he did. Going to get John to watch THE SWEET HEREAFTER (1997) tonight. Really going to miss seeing IAN HOLM’s name in the credits. ALIEN, NAKED LUNCH, KAFKA, ANOTHER WOMAN, DREAMCHILD, BIG NIGHT, WETHERBY, BRAZIL- the list goes on and on… he was truly one of the greats.

I absolutely LOVED Ian Holm in every role he played- even as an uber-creepy Lewis Carroll in Dreamchild. He was an actor who could truly adapt to any kind of role, from comic to dramatic, pathetic to terrifying. One of the very best.
