Kinder-Link :: Haunted Closet’s Spooky Little Rascals

When your Unk was a critter way back in the seventies they used to air THE LITTLE RASCALS shorts on television every Sunday morning. My favorite was one where the gang unknowingly gets trapped in a haunted funhouse ride. I remember watching every Sunday just hoping that they would show that one again. Leave it to THE HAUNTED CLOSET to dedicate an entire post to spooky LITTLE RASCALS‘ episodes including that favorite of mine (turns out it’s called HIDE AND SHRIEK). Make sure that you check out this wonderful post HERE.

Unk, I loved watching the Little Rascals and the Three Stooges on Sunday mornings too. Great memories of youth!

HA! I remember this one. I rewatched it, the Funhouse part is so awesome. I remember all the skeletons dropping out of the sky like I watched it yesterday… I think at the time it was probably a little scary…

I was a “Little Rascals” junkie in the early 70’s.  This was one of my favorites.  There is another one where they go out camping (they all may have run away from their homes) and at night one of them stands in front of a fire and his shadow is cast on a cliff wall and it scares the crap out of the other kids!  It ends in chaos when a thunderstorm begins and bolts of lightning strike some of them!

Not many people know this but I am a Rascals ENTHUSIAST! I love them! And I bought a box set and recruited my daughter into being a huge fan too!

This is one of my favorite eps (although HI NEIGHBOR the one where they build the firetruck is my absolute fave).

Also worth checking out is MAMA’S LITLE PIARTE the one where Spanky has a dream they invade a Pirates Cave looking for treasue. A HUGE giant attacks them! As fun and light-hearted as it is a few of them look genuinely terrified when the Giant is grabbin at em!

Thanks for posting this… I used to LOVE this episode as a kid. This is probably what started my fascination with Haunted Houses and a precursor to watching real horror movies.

The Little Rascals and the Three Stooges were my solace on Sunday mornings while dreading having to go to church.
