#8 is Death Line (aka Raw Meat). I love, love, love that movie.
I think #4 is Troll (years before Elaine’s infamous dance), but I’m not 100% sure.
I also think #8 is Raw Meat/Death Line.
And 10 is Savage Weekend I believe.
Crap, I’m way off. I think #4 is The Witch Who Came from the Sea. I love that movie, too, even have the Arrow blu.
#2 has got to be THE TOOLBOX MURDERS (1978) – I can’t think of anything else that Wesley Eure was in other than Land of the Lost and C.H.O.M.P.S.!
I agree that 8 and 10 are DEATH LINE and SAVAGE WEEKEND and 4 is THE WITCH THAT CAME FROM THE SEA.
Is #3 SLEDGEHAMMER? I’ve never seen it but I think it’s shot on VHS so that is how I imagine it looks!
I’m going to guess that #7 is Mausoleum (1983). I’ve mostly blocked out that horrible movie but it seems to jibe.
7 is Mausoleum, the great Bobbie Breese!
I’m wondering if the actor in #6 is Reggie Nadler. If it is, I can’t place the movie (definitely not Salem’s Lot, and I don’t think it’s Zoltan, Dracula’s Dog, either).
6 is the Devil’s Nightmare!!! Can’t believe I got one before someone else!! Daniel Emilfork.
I don’t know any of these but that guy in #6 looks like a living, breathing Modigliani painting.
2 THE TOOLBOX MURDERS= nice job Dr Nick!
3 SLEDGEHAMMER= exactly Dr Nick!
4 THE WITCH WHO CAME FROM THE SEA good job SDC & Dr Nick!
6 THE DEVIL’S NIGHTMARE excellent job jimbo65!
8 DEATH LINE aka RAW MEAT yay SmallDarkCloud & kathryngrace!
10 SAVAGE WEEKEND good eye kathryngrace & Dr Nick!
These may have been too obscure this week so here are some hints:
1 ALAN RUDOLPH
5 The Evening somebody came out of someplace
7 This is not MAUSOLEUM but it does have very similar lime green eye lasers!! Stars Lynda Day George and John Saxon!
9 TED V MIKELS I can’t actually watch this movie because I think cats were treated poorly in it.
# 5 The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave, I haven’t seen this one but I kew the title. Another movie with Erika Blanc. I will have to see it. Erika’s performance as the sexy /frighting succubus in the Devil’s Nightmare is Amazing!! Have only seen the poorly dubbed version.
Is that her in the photo?
#1- Barn of the Naked Dead (Terror Circus)
#5- The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave
#9 must be The Corpse Grinders. I guess #7 is Beyond Evil (never seen it!).
Excellent work getting those stragglers! I admit this was a weird random bunch of movies!
and I can’t get used to the comments going backwards now!
5= THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE= nice job Jimbo! It’s on Tubi! It’s not as great as DEVIL’S NIGHTMARE tho- love that movie too! It really freaks me out for some reason, might have to d a Five Favorite Things post on that one! Robster got it too!
1= BARN OF THE NAKED DEAD/TERROR CIRCUS= spot on Robstercraws!
9= THE CORPSE GRINDERS= I saw it back in the day SDC but I’m not a fan cuz of all the poor cats caged together!
7= BEYOND EVIL spot on SDC! wasn’t a fan of this one but I’ll watch it again for Saxon- I have a Troma DVD set with it.
Ah, we got them all! another successful Funhouse
Thanks to all who played along!
Hope everyone has a peaceful and safe weekend!
Yeah, the upside-down comments are definitely throwing me, too.
Oh I really should have gotten #5. I love that movie. It’s been a while since I watched it though.
I really want to see The Devil’s Nightmare. Does anyone know what the best copy of that one would be to watch? I hear some available versions aren’t that good.
There’s a Blu Ray chock-full o’ extras from Mondo Macabro that I’ve been itching to buy for a while.
I missed the game this week, but I have a question based on Unk mentioning the cats in “Corpse Grinders.” I recently rewatched “The Nest” and there was a nasty cat scene in it that I thought was in “Bug.” I’d really like to rewatch “Bug”–it’s been many years–but is there a cat mistreatment scene in that one, too??
kathryngrace & Robstercraws,
The first time I saw TDN it was a public domain VHS titled SUCCUBUS- My go to copy now is in a Brentwood 10 pack called FRIGHT NIGHT. It’s a pretty solid picture and its letterboxes- the set also includes THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE, GOD TOLD ME TO, CATHY’S CURSE, SATAN’S SCHOOL FOR GIRLS, and Barbara Steele in THE GHOST amount others- it’s a great collection really- image quality varies
I can’t find it on Amazon but here it is on eBay super cheap.
There is a cat death scene in BUG (1975) If it makes you feel better American Humane Society approved the scene and is on record saying it was safely simulated!
Many thanks for that information, Uncle Lance, and for the website, as well!
