Tough one this week. But I think #10 is Argento's INFERNO.

Totally stumped. 5 reminds me of a scene from Wicked Little Things, but I haven't seen that movie in years.

Is #11 Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers?
Darkman

Yeah. I'm stumped, too, but I know for sure that the top bumper is Edgar Wright's "Don't" from GRINDHOUSE.

As I sometimes see complaints that these get solved to quick, I'll try to leave it up for a while.
Since not many are playing today, I will try to put some clues up. Just let me know.

Hey folks, I'm sorry this one is boring? Hard? I'm guessing there is something off since Unk isn't even playing. Here are a few answers:
TB – Grindhouse – Darkman, not so stumped after all.
I'm curious about #2, and whatever it is, I'll bet it was made in 1971.

#7 is fantastic!
Matt Sunshine

@ChiefferSutherbong
You are extremely close, it's from 1972. Although, usually movies come out a year after being filmed. So, you were probably correct when you said it was made in 1971. What made you say that?
Matt Sunshine

@ChiefferSutherbong
#7 ? Do you mean the pic? Would it help if I gave out the year of release?
Matt Sunshine

So here are some clues:
1. early 60's based on story
2. star from #1 also stars in #2
3. 80's film more thriller than horror
4. 70's British cult film
5. found footage film, fall atmosphere
6. popular 2017 release
7. 70's British-American psychological
8. derivative psychological with big stars
9. 80's based on hugely popular novel
10.
11.
12. another psychological early 70's based on novel
BB – based on novel, which features star from #12

Is #1 from The Haunting ?
ChiefferSutherbong
6 years ago
#2 reeks of the vietnam era. The people, both living and dead, embraced by Mother Nature; framed by the tree and the Earth. The blown-out background low angle shot and the silhouetted tree are just about graphical chiches of the time. Looks like it was shot on the edge of a California vineyard by a gentleman who thought his big camera and Bergman-esque sensibilities were *really* gonna get him laid!

Is #7 Family Plot (1976)? Is that Karen Black in a beige trench coat?
Matt Sunshine

@Caffeinated Joe
Sorry, but you're close. The hands are kind of a clue. I really thought people would get this one.
@ChiefferSutherbong
Sorry, no but I can understand how you'd see that. And as for #2, it's funny you mention that because it stars a distinctive writer/director/producer.
Sorry, John had the day off for once so we were out of the house all day running around Philly! The only one I thought I knew was INFERNO. This is a tough funhouse but I think that's great cuz last week was too easy!
pipt – I'm with you on BB! I can't believe I can't figure out 5 and 8! Could #1 be Burn, Witch Burn?
Madamoiselle, I like your guess on #1 better than mine! That makes more sense!
Matt Sunshine

BB – The Mephisto Waltz – pipt gets this one, Good job!
@unkle lancifer
I was surprised you didn't get that one actually, but that's OK. #1 has been answered now. Normally I wouldn't give out individual clues, but as not many played this week, Unk I am positive you have seen 5 because we spoke about it a few years ago. Try some guessing maybe.
Again, a total guess, but is #12 The Deadly Trap (1971)?

7. Images – Tristan, good job my friend.
@kathryngrace
Sorry, no to both, I can completely see where you are coming from because I know both of those films. In fact, I actually forgot what #4 was while I was putting this together and I was thinking it was Who Slew Auntie Roo? at first.

Hey Gang, if you want me to end it, I will. I really didn't think this was going to be so difficult.

No, sorry but #12 is not The Deadly Trap. Another good guess. However, you solved 2 titles on this sinking ship and it never hurts to try guessing.

I know it has been hard, but I think it has also been fun! So much better than it all being solved in one day! 🙂
#8 is killing me! You'd think I'd be better at this but I'm terrible at recognizing things out of context. I don't recognize my own neighbor unless he's standing in front of his house! Is #5 BLAIR WITCH 2: BOOK OF SHADOWS?
Matt Sunshine

Hey Gang,
It seems like everyone's pretty much done playing, so I think I'll wrap this up.
@Caffeinated Joe
I preferred when this didn't used to get solved so quick myself, and if you did have fun, all the more better.
ANSWERS:
TB – GRINDHOUSE
1. THE INNOCENTS
2. NECROMANCY
3. TIGHTROPE
4. GIRLY
5. THE TAKING OF DEBORAH LOGAN
6. ANNABELLE: CREATION
7. IMAGES
8. HIDE AND SEEK
9. FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC
10. INFERNO
11. HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS
12. THE BEGUILED
BB – THE MEPHISTO WALTZ
Thanks Lance & John. Thanks to everyone who played. Don't worry, I'm not doing next weeks. I hope everyone has a good weekend and a Happy Halloween!
What?! I've only watched HALLOWEEN 4 about 5,000 times and just watched it two nights ago!
This reminds me of the time I was looking for my phone while I was talking to somebody with it.
My brain just ain't what it used to be! I should have gotten THE BEGUILED too! rats.
THANK YOU so much Matt Sunshine! We needed this hard puzzle after last week's too easy puzzle! You really helped me out because I ended up being super busy this weekend unexpectedly.
If any of you guys are on Instagram, please follow Kindertrauma! This week Jamie Lee Curtis herself even shared ne of our KT images. It was so awesome! Hope everybody had a greak weekend- fall is finally here!!! I saw rustling leaves and everything!!! Thanks to all who played and another special thanks to Matt Sunshine!

#2 Necromancy (1972)
(Both with Pam Franklin)
