I know he’s more famous for writing the beyond masterpiece ALIEN and directing the beyond classic RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, but I have to give a little shout-out to another film credit of his that truly left an indelible mark on me, 1981′s DEAD AND BURIED…

I can’t believe I’ve never seen this movie. It is now on my Netflix queue.
RIP Mr. O’Bannon. May your body not be cut up with a hacksaw, place in garbage bags and incinerated in an oven under the false pretenses of destroying rabid weasels. You made good movies that entertained me.
