#2 is ZOMBIE (or ZOMBI 2 – or whatever – that poster outside the theatre scared me as a kid – no way my folks were gonna let me see that!).

#8 is EYES OF FIRE (not a bad little low budget flick filmed in Missouri).

I think #1 is Headless Eyes… Not sure about the others!

    Get better soon Aunt John!

Oh, is #5 the Hills Have Eyes remake?

  • 4 TaylorNo Gravatar // Nov 18, 2011 at 9:21 am

Building on Amanda’s last guess…I think that’s actually the sequel to the Hills Have Eyes remake. I never saw the movie, but I remember the guy dragging someone from the teaser trailer.

Also: #7 is My Little Eye, #10 is Eyes Without A Face (?).

    #3 is Two Evil Eyes!

    #4 Anguish?

  • 7 John BooneNo Gravatar // Nov 18, 2011 at 9:27 am

    #9 is so familiar…Eyes of a Stranger?

  • 8 TaylorNo Gravatar // Nov 18, 2011 at 9:30 am

Ah, Anguish! I saw that one and could only think “Zelda Rubinstein,” though that title escaped me. Not even sure that’s right, but we were definitely on the same track, John.

Psychic chickensoup to Aunt John, or a cocktail as big as your head, whatever soothes you most.
Everyone got what I know except
    #6 Mansion of the Doomed
which is kind of a different spin on
    #10 Eyes without a Face.
#9 definitely Eyes of a Stranger.

I know none of these, as per usual – but I’m sending Aunt John all the good vibes I got!

The only one I know for sure is the one at the very top of the page with “Aunt John’s Eyeball Funhouse” written over it: Eyes of Laura Mars.
Hope you’re feeling better soon, Aunt John!

I knew before even looking at the images that Anguish had to be one of them (my guess was #4 but I wasn’t totally sure). It’s the first movie that comes to mind when I hear the word “eyeballs.”

Hmmm…….. I have an idea: A future Funhouse with eyeball close ups from horror movies.

I am positively beyond delighted to see the reference to Eyes of Fire!! I have looked for this movie for my entire adult life. I remember watching it with my dad in the late eighties on VHS but could never recall the name of the movie or specific details, but I do remember very eerie, incredibly atmospheric scenes and that it was set in the American settlers era. I just searched Netflix with no luck, and found a great clip on Youtube but that’s all there is- just a clip. Does anyone know where I could find a copy? Thanks again for this amazing site!

“Eyes of Fire” is a great movie!

In fact, it once appeared on our “Movies to watch for Thanksgiving” list….

I can’t believe it is still not on DVD!

How can such a good movie stay under the radar for so long?

I did find some “homemade” copies on ioffer…(bootleg is such an ugly word)

Thanks Unkle Lancifer, I found it there as well as on sites like the pirate bay available for download. Do you know if there are different versions? I saw a Japanese VHS print stating it’s ‘uncut’ and I was curious. Thanks again, you’ve solved a 20+ year old mystery!
