I was wondering if you are familiar with an educational cartoon that I saw during my gradeschool years (70s to 80s) that was about nutrition and hygiene that had an inflation scene in it. The film followed a number of characters with diet and hygiene issues and showed the pitfalls of each to the extreme.
The only one I remember vividly was a boy who was overweight and was always eating candy. He was sluggish and couldn't keep up with his peers while running in PE and he had candy bars sticking out of his pockets. He gets invited by some sort of mad scientist to go to his candy factory for "just a taste". Though he says he really shouldn't, he agrees that "just a taste" would be ok.
Instantly, he is strapped to a chair and whisked away into the candy factory. A feeding tube is attached to his face which squirts pellet candies into his mouth and two robot hands grasp his jaws forcing him to chew. Humiliating music is played as the chair moves rapidly along a conveyer belt from station to station, where he is force-fed
Seeing this as a young child of probably 7 or 8 years old, this scene kinda traumatized me. It was more traumatic for me than the Violet scene in Willy Wonka because it actively showed force feeding whereas with Violet, the inflation seemed accidental rather than intentional.
My questions are: Have you seen this film? Do you know the title? Do you know where I can find it, ie: youtube, etc…?
I would be greatly appreciative of any responses.
Sincerely,
Giacomo
It was an illustrated book of ghost stories. I took it out from the public library several times as a kid. I'm 32 now, but I distinctly remember two pictures from it. One was the ghost of a well-dressed man drifting across a vaulted ceiling, with bookshelves lining the walls on both sides. The other image is from a story which I think was called "The Nu." The picture accompanying the story was pretty striking: the viewer was looking down a staircase illuminated by moonlight. A ghost covered completely by a white shroud, with a very tall white conical hat, was ascending the stairs. I know, this isn't a lot of info. But it's been a real pain to find, and I want to find it. Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi there once again Kindertrauma,
In the past you guys helped me out finding movies of which I forgot the name. I hope you can help me out with this one too.
So I saw this movie many years ago at the BBC-channel. It was a seventies horror movie, I believe it was a British one. The movie was about a satanic cult. In the opening
A bit further in the movie we see someone (can't remember if it was a man or a woman) staying over at the house of a family member. The person who stays over is fearful of the person who lives there (also could be fearful of a supernatural force).
Later on in the movie there is a couple that want to warn the person in the house. When driving over to the house they have a car accident, what I believe is being caused by someone with supernatural powers, giving the driver some kind of stroke. They crash into the stone fence.
I'm not sure, but it could also be that there are vampires involved in this movie (not so sure though).
I really hope you guys can help me out with this one ??
Cheers!
Hello! Was looking for some help on this one. I remember watching either a movie or TV show
Hey there, Kindertraumautizers…
A friend of mind suggested reaching out to you guys.
I can't remember where I was, who I was with or how I old I was when I saw it, but I remember watching a film on television -– a black-&-white mystery, possibly "noir" -– involving a protagonist haunted by a recurring nightmare or vision. In that mysterious scenario, he's in some clandestine chamber that holds some horrible secret –- a murder, perhaps? The thing that makes it distinctive, however, is that there is music playing -– a strange, lulling, creepy dirge. Again, the protagonist is driven to distraction by this eerie vision, but cannot connect the dots as to where it happened or its significance.
Later in the film, he's at some social function, and there is music playing via an old-time record player. At one pivotal point, a woman near that turntable bumps into it with her elbow, inadvertently changing the speed of the turntable to a slower revolution-per-minute, like dropping from 45 to 33 1/3. When she does this, the music playing suddenly replicates the creepy music in the protagonist's recurring vision, and he becomes convinced that the clandestine chamber with the horrible secret is immediately nearby.
Like I said, I wish I could cite more specifics, but I cannot. For the life of me, I've never been able to figure out the film. Much like the tortured protagonist, I cannot figure out the mystery.
Does this film sound familiar to you?
PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS!

Howdy! I've got another Name That Trauma query.
I'm struggling to remember the title of a Young Adult horror novel, in the vein of Fear Street but not from that series, involving a tentacled monster (which may have lived beneath a high school) that was killing students. I remember only one of the kills specifically, but it stuck in my mind because the monster used its tentacles to pop off the victim's fingernails "like soda-can tabs." (may not be an accurate quote, but it was something like that.)
I also remember a killer leaving poems for their victims, including one that ends with the line, "Will they wire your coffin with cable?" This might be from the same novel as the tentacle-monster, or it might be a different one.
Any ideas?
Cheers,

Hello group,
First timer and thank you. Saw a MFTV movie between '79 and '83 in the rural South so only got the one shot at seeing it… my recollection was it was set in the 30s or 40s, sinister in nature i.e. a secret group I recall were in men's suits like gangsters. My resounding and vivid memory was the ending with a close shot on a man standing on a loading dock, zoom in on his neck revealing his "s" or snake tattoo suggesting he was a member of bad guys. Given my youth, experimentation with drugs (it was the 70's) and the fact that it's been forty years it could be a feature film? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! You've helped me with several of these fuzzy memories, and I've got another one for you.
One night in my early teens (so early 80s), I was flipping channels and I saw a movie with a big, ol' fashioned military gun battle. Lots of soldiers shooting at each other. There was a quick 5-10 second shot in the battle scene that I can never forget.
A soldier had been shot in the head, and he slumping down against a wall dying. The wall behind him was splashed with his blood. But what made this so haunting was that the soldier was crying in his last few moments of life.
This poor man was very aware that he had been shot in the head, had only moments left to live, and was weeping and mourning his own imminent death. It was sad and unsettling. I've never forgotten it.
One possibly helpful clue: I am about 95% certain that this was a movie about the battle of the Alamo. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.
Can you guys help me find closure with this?
Thanks!
Gary B.
Thinking about "Something Evil" made me remember another little piece of a film I saw in the early 70's.
I think this was an older film, probably originally in black and white. There was something about a set of doors, maybe like French doors, that only opened once every 50 or 100 years.
I also think that a man got a bottle of acid dropped onto his face. I remember the fumes rising from his face, which is the Trauma part.
