Name That Trauma:: Isaura on a Roadside Puppy Trap

Hey, I’m looking for a horror movie, i think its from 2000+ ,

It’s about a couple (boy girl) that are driving in the car and they see a ‘free puppy’ sign or road sign.. once they arrive there, there’s a truck with 2 guys and 1 of them lures the woman to the trunk to ‘look at the puppies’ and drags her in the trunk. The boy gets held at gunpoint. One guy drives the couples car to a remote place while the other guy drives there with the couple in the car. Once they arrive there, they give the boy a gun and tell him to shoot himself in the head if he wants to save his girlfriend from being raped etc. Once he pulls the trigger there are no bullets in the gun..

I hope u can help me to find the movie title, thanks in advance.

OK, I know this one. It was on either Amazon or Tubi a while back. It is called :Red Ridge” (2006). I saw it whilst binging schlock horror/thrillers.

Even for schlock it is pretty much barrel-bottom. The scene that Isaura mentions was the only thing that I remembered, and even then it is probably only because it is near the beginning of the film. The only reason that I remembered the name was becuase I thought it was “Ruby Ridge” at first and was wondering if it tied into the infamous stand-off.

I just looked to see where it was streaming and the answer is … nowhere. Well, you can watch a crummy miniature-sized version on Youtube – just search the name and it will pop up.

This is one of those Kindertraumas that can pretty much be totally exorcised by just watching the (rather amateurish) film as an adult.

Kid Marvelman!

I’m glad someone had the answer to this as I was intrigued. Too bad it’s a terrible movie. It was called “Rape & Revenge” in Europe. Ugh. Only 15 people on Letterboxd have watched it!

Congrats – you are the first person to recognize my icon (or at least indicate that you did). I’ve been using it for well over a decade.
