#5 is Horror High

Welcome back!

These are tough. I know #4 is Paganini Horror (starring the late Daria Nicolodi, R.I.P.) I was lucky to catch a rare screening at an Alamo Drafthouse last year.

I am throwing in a guess for #9 as It’s Alive, but I’m not sure that’s right.

#6 – Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)?

Could #1 be Brainscan?

#3 is my beloved BLOOD BEAT (check it out on Shudder)

We already know #6 is TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE (but I had to say it anyway because it’s just the best).

I wanna say #7 TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE? Scratch that. Robby Kiger? CHILDREN OF THE CORN (1984)?

I also feel like #9 is DON’T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT?

#10 feels like THE BROOD – but it could just be the white turtleneck and early 80’s hair making me think that. LOL.

I’m stumped on the rest of these. Regarding #8, KL5 was part of an older phone number exchange system. I’m guessing that the movie is set in the 1960s or earlier.

Blood Beat is wonderfully bonkers. I discovered it when Unkle Lancifer included a shot from it in a previous Funhouse, around the time I first discovered this site.

#10 must be Incubus. I’ve heard a story (possibly apocryphal) that Cassavetes ruined a few takes because he had trouble delivering his lines with a straight face.

Ha! Then #2 must be SLAUGHTERHOUSE. I saw it in the theater in 1987 – the theatrical experience did not make it any better. 🙂

Oh man! I totally missed this one! And it had two of my guilty pleasures – Bloody New Year and Paganini Horror. I’m so glad you’re back!!
