Name That Trauma:: Jeremy L. On Blondie Blood

January 30th, 2012 by unkle lancifer · 5 Comments

Hi guys! Love the site!
I’m wondering if somebody could help me with this. For as long as I can remember everytime I hear the song “Rapture” by Blondie I think of blood. When I was a kid it really freaked me out. Does anyone know if that song was ever used in a horror movie or tv show in a bloody scene? It’s always bugged me that I can’t remember what caused me to think this when I hear that song!

It was on the Summer School soundtrack, but I don’t remember it being associated with the infamous Scare-the-Shit-Out-of-Almonzo’s-Sister scene. Oh, Chainsaw and Dave, where have ye gone?

Is it possible you’re thinking of Videodrome? The movie is a blur to me, but since Debbie Harry was in it, it seems possible she also contributed to the soundtrack.
