JOHN ERMAN (director), 1988, with BERNADETTE PETERS and JOHN GLOVER.
UNK SEZ: Ugh! Why'd ya have to go and remind me of the feel-bad television movie of the century Riccardo? A father setting his son on fire and burning over 90% of his body? Of course, something so mind-boggingly heinous has to be based on a true story and guess what? Dad spent all of SIX years in jail!
Don't feel bad, American judicial system, you're new; I'm sure you'll iron out all of those little kinks one of these centuries!
I love your website even though I have not watched most of the films you have there. Turns out I was (maybe still am) the most scared little girl out there. I was scared of "IT" which a lot of people have talked about & of THE EXORCIST add to…
Here's another one. The movie THE CRAFT by ANDREW FLEMING (1996) is a very good one, but for me one scene in particular stands out; the one with the "lose-your-hair curse" that Sarah sends to Laura. It always gave me the creeps whenin the pool she's starting losing hair... aarghhh!…
Hi! I'm Riccardo I come back to talk about another movie that shook my childhood, of a sequence to be more precise, I am referring to the famous dream sequence in the film THE BEAR by Annaud. This scene upset me because it came quite suddenly in the film and,…
Speaking of Batman! This reminds me of another traumafession- when Joker's girlfriend makes an appearance with the scary white mask on, and speaks in that high pitched creeper voice. I used to imagine such terrible things under that mask…!

Oh man, John Glover! I love that guy, but never knew his name. Thanks, Unk! Favorite performance… In The Mouth of Madness. Granted, he's only in a few scenes, but he makes quite the quirky impression. The gleeful smile on his face as he turns up The Carpenters tune to drown out the noises of the inmates is understated genius.
"Hello? This is Saperstein, where is he?"

Oh dear Lord! I remember watching this movie. I must have blocked it out until now. ONLY six years in prison? He deserved to be burned to death. What a monster!
I totally remember this movie. I remember the real case and seeing the real David all over the television. Wow, it's just as horrible now as it was when it first happened.
I think David is now a tatoo artist, but I am basing that on info froma friend. I never looked it up.
Stranger still, there are all these people on the webs who believe that the Dave Dave on Larry King is Michael Jackson in disguise. Saying that the real Dave Dave is less scarred, has blue eyes and a more damaged hand…
I personally found Glover truly creepy in "Batman and Robin"…GAAAHH!!!
